SIX INCHES???

SIX INCHES???

Action Figures, that is…get your mind out of the gutter…really. Now that SDCC 2015 has come and gone with loads of exciting new collectible releases – AND – a dynamite NEW Star Wars Trailer, not to mention The Walking Dead Season 6 Trailer…well, I could go on and on and on

Anyhoo…I can now discuss my involvement with Mezco Toys’ NEW One:12 Collective series of 6inch action figures – and no jokes on whether they are figures or dolls, please. And yes, you heard me correctly – they are 6 inches tall! Read all about the report from Comics Alliance here – and images contained herein are from Comics Alliance, too.

I worked on a few of these samples already – and no, I can’t talk about them. My work is specifically associated with what is referred to as ‘soft goods‘ design and sample making – basically, that means the clothing, not the hardware. Working in 1:12 scale is damn challenging, and I’ve loved the great direction and attitude of the guys at Mezco – so a big thank you to them! Why? Welllllll – I am piss-my-pants thrilled and honored that my work can be seen in two of the samples shown at SDCC 2015 – Space Ghost and Frankenstein!!! No, really…how cool is that?

Look for more information on what I hope is a continuing involvement with Mezco – but you won’t be seeing any how it’s made posts – those are ancient Tommydoll secrets, Puddings…

  1. but, are they going to be jointed? I know their little clothes won’t come off but the mobility factor could be the deal breaker

    • take it back, thought frankie was just a picture flipped in and out from emails, he is jointed and has one real clothes will that be the norm? excellent job! he looks like a still from one of the old movies. I just looked at the first guy, sorry

My blog is satire, but your thoughts are welcome!
